Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago is seeking interested candidates to provide support and developmentally-appropriate play opportunities to our patients and their families.

If you enjoy helping others, making kids smile, and giving back, this might just be the opportunity for you! We are currently recruiting for our Weekday Program, specifically, which runs M-F, between 8am-5pm.


Assignment areas we're currently recruiting for:

  • Play Volunteers - (1x per week for 6 months)
--Volunteers in these roles do calming and distracting activities (like art, games, reading, etc.) with patients and siblings either in play spaces or at bedsides.

  • Hospitality Volunteers ( VERY FLEXIBLE- 1x per week or 2x per month options, for 3 months)
--Help patients and families navigate and settle into the hospital setting, provide important resources and referrals for newly admitted families, and distribute care items.
