ANGELS Volunteer provide support to those patients who are actively dying and request volunteer support. Volunteers typically are scheduled a shift bedside to provide support to patient. This allows patients to never die alone. Volunteers do not provide medical care but instead have a presence at the bedside for the patient.

Description

At Compassus, we share a culture established around three core values: Compassion, Integrity and Excellence.

Hospice offers peace and comfort to patients and their families by reducing the stress, pain and other symptoms of a serious illness. Hospice is not just for the final days of life. it's about helping patients and their families live as well as they can when life expectancy is limited.

Palliative care helps people with a serious illness feel better - physically, emotionally and spiritually. It focuses on improving quality of life at any stage of illness. Patients can continue curative treatments, and some patients with chronic diseases may move in and out of palliative care as the need arises.

Patients receive treatment in facilities and in their community homes.
