Hospice patients are in need of volunteers to be friendly visitors. Friendly visitors do not provide direct patient care. Volunteers will provide companionship, reading, talking and listening. No set schedule is required. Training is provided.

ST JOSEPH HOSPICE WAS STARTED BY A GROUP OF LOCAL INVESTORS DEDICATED TO THE RETURN OF A FAITH-BASED PROGRAM IN THE COMMUNITY, A PROGRAM WHERE DECISIONS ARE MADE BY A LOCAL MANAGEMENT TEAM WHO LIVE AND WORK IN THE COMMUNITY. THE VALUES SET FORTH BY THE GOVERNING BODY ARE COMPOSED OF THREE BASIC AREAS: COMPASSION, COMFORT AND COMMUNITY. THESE ARE NOT JUST WORDS, BUT REFLECT A SINCERE DESIRE TO EXPRESS OUR DEDICATION TO THE CONCEPT OF HOSPICE AND OUR COMMITMENT TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.
