Do you love working with databases, spreadsheets, and people dedicated to Bay Area conservation? Join our team at the San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory as a volunteer development database manager. Tasks include:
- Enter data in our donor database about donor activities, outreach event participation, and other information
- Design and pull reports and queries using our Flipcause donor database (training available)
- Help implement tags on donor accounts and create and use filters
- Pull data from the database and work with spreadsheets to display donor history and metrics
- Help SFBBO meet our mission to conserve birds and habitats through science and outreach

Mission Statement
The San Francisco Bay Bird Observatory is a nonprofit science organization dedicated to the conservation of birds and their habitats through science and outreach, and to contributing to informed resource management decisions in the Bay Area.
Description
The Bird Observatory was founded in 1981 by a group of enthusiastic biology students from San Jose State University. We study waterbirds and landbirds of the Bay Area, and also provide bird walks and other interpretive activities for the public. We currently have 6 staff and about 900 members. Our biologists work with nearly 100 volunteers in our fieldwork.
