Overview

The Marketing Intern will be supervised by the Creative Director and work collaboratively with all other departments. Specifically, this position is responsible for assisting with the planning and implementation of The Cupcake Girls message, including assessing the needs of our varied "audience," which includes the general public, donors, volunteers, and clients working in the adult industry. S/he will be a pivotal part of the organization, promoting and expanding the reach of The Cupcake girls, and creating content within all areas, as well as gaining real-world experience in the rapidly growing nonprofit sector.


Principal Responsibilities
  1. Create content for promotion across various media outlets - TV, radio, print, press releases, direct mail, and advertising.
  2. Update website content with latest verbiage and event information.
  3. Write blogs as scheduled.
  4. Assist with verbiage/content for social media posts.
  5. Contribute content for quarterly newsletters.
  6. Assist with writing elements of the annual report.
  7. Work with graphic design team members to create written content for marketing/promotional materials.
  8. Write press releases and media alerts.
  9. Create and maintain a press contact list.
  10. Monitor and track public relations efforts, assessing for effectiveness.
  11. Update/create content for promotional packets (sponsor, partner, donor).
  12. S hadow executive staff I order to gain organizational knowledge.
  13. Attend outreach/networking events, meetings, (etc.) to continue learning how to share our story.
  14. Working with our marketing team on style guide and other branding documents.
  15. Connect with office team members to ensure marketing materials are in stock, and that the verbiage is updated.
  16. Attend scheduled Lead meetings.

Through direct care and community resources, we partner with these individuals and empower them in their pursuits. In order to best serve the varied needs of the adult entertainers we support, The Cupcake Girls offers a range of both in-house services that we feel we are uniquely able to provide, as well as referrals to external care providers when we've identified existing professionals and organizations that meet our high standards and have proven themselves trustworthy working with the adult entertainment community. We partner with our clients to build comprehensive, holistic plans to help them pursue their goals and objectives, working to ensure that we're matching the right solutions to the right individual at the right time.
