Give our families some extra warmth and joy this holiday season by granting a Holiday Wish! For many families at CornerHouse, the holiday season can be a time of added stress and anxiety, especially this year with COVID challenges. You can help ease this burden by providing gifts and needs for a family at CornerHouse!

What is Holiday Wish?
Each year, CornerHouse families who are currently participating in support groups, home visiting, therapy, and case management are invited to sign up for a Holiday Wish. Then, we seek donors and match them with a family. provide you with a list of gift ideas - both "needs" and "wants". This list could include household items, clothes, grocery cards, gas cards, as well as toys for the kids.

How Does it Work?

Individuals or groups who want to support a family are matched with one of our families in need. Donors can choose to support a family of 2-3 or 4-6 members. Families complete "need" and "wish" lists which are given to the donors, along with a brief description that includes ages and genders of family members. Donors are NOT obligated to buy everything on the list. For confidentiality reasons, the donors and recipient families do not meet and the family is not told who has donated to them.

How much does it cost?
A sponsor should plan on spending $50 - $75 per family member. We ask that each donor provides at least one item listed from the "needs" list (such as clothing, home furnishings, hygiene products, etc.) and at least one item from the "wish" list (toys, games, etc.) per family member, IN ADDITION TO a holiday meal donation (from the family's listed grocery store preference).

Where and When do I drop off gifts?
Please drop off UNWRAPPED gifts to CornerHouse at 2502 10th Ave S, Minneapolis by Friday, December 11th. Please contact CornerHouse staff to schedule a time to drop off gifts.
