During the winter season, we like to prep for a beautiful spring! By adding wood chip, at a depth of 6 to 8 inches, the weed seeds won't grow--because they won't get any sunlight! All seeds need sunlight for growth!

Please come join us as we spread chip around the parking lot planter areas, creating a solid layer of thick chip, which will then inhibit the growth of the weeds, without chemicals! In the spring, we'll have a beautifully landscaped parking lot which will welcome all the visitors to Happy Hollow Park and Zoo!

Please wear closed-toe shoes that are sturdy.
Bring a filled water bottle--staying hydrated is key!
A hat and sunscreen are recommended.

In case of rain--the event goes on! It's fun to be outside, in the falling rain--just dress appropriately!

All tools and supplies will be provided.

Teens--community service hours will be awarded!
Families are welcome!
Bring a friend and start off the holiday season by giving back to the community!
