Our patients are oftentimes under our care for months before their passing, and benefit greatly from extra support from our volunteers during this time. Volunteers provide the patient's family time to rest or take care of personal concerns, as well as share invaluable human connection with patients who don't have family or friends available. Volunteers can get creative with their time--many of our volunteers sing, read, bring a pet, paint, pray, play an instrument or of course just sit and chat with our patient.
