Dish food onto plates at buffet line and assist with restocking, food service, and other misc tasks.

This opportunity takes place in two shifts. First shift arrives early (4:30) to help set-up and prepare food, then serves for a while before sitting down for dinner. Second shift arrives at the event start time (6:00), eats some dinner, serves food, and then stays late to help with take-down.

The Murphy Center Community Dinner brings people from the community together - both those housed and those unhoused - to share a meal, foster positive connections between people who may not normally have the opportunity to spend time together, learn more about the Murphy Center collaborative and inspire community support and action around homeless issues.

The dinner is a casual event and includes non-alcoholic drinks, dinner, dessert, music and a short programatic presentation. Local restaurants and catering companies donate specialty dishes for attendees' enjoyment.

Due to the hour and topic, we do not recommend this event for children under age 12.
