Join City of Raleigh Parks staff as we plant bulbs and mulch at Millbrook Exchange Park.

Volunteer Impact: Volunteers will be planting plants that will provide a beautiful park aesthetic for patrons. Mulch will retain moisture while preventing weeds from growing.

Work Environment: We will be working outside so please dress for the weather. The ground may be uneven. There are restrooms on site.

Special Information: We will provide tools, gloves, snacks, water, sunscreen, bug spray, and a first aid kit. Volunteers need to wear loose comfortable clothing that can get dirty, and closed-toe shoes.

Volunteer Requirements: Volunteers must be at least 12 years of age to participate. Volunteers under the age of 16 will need a parent/guardian present. All volunteers will need to fill out a volunteer release form. If any volunteer is under the age of 18, then a parent or guardian will need to sign as well.

Registration as a volunteer is first come, first served. If interested in registering a group, please email rachel.vannoordt@raleighnc.gov . We require a list of names and their email addresses to hold spots for groups.

Per department policy this event cannot count towards court-appointed or suggested community service hours.
