47th ANNUAL NOEL EXPERIENCE

The 47th annual Noel Experience is scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2019, with over 120 participating venues, including the the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Detroit Institute of Arts, the Michigan Science Center, the Detroit Historical Museum, Wayne State University and the College for Creative Studies, along with the area's historic churches, galleries, unique shops, nonprofit organizations, other arts, cultural and educational institutions, restaurants, bars and breweries, to name just a few.

The Noel Experience is a Cultural Center-wide holiday open house that presents free activities including: horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday shopping, family craft activities and performances by over 200 area music, theater, and dance groups, and other special performances.

The Wright Museum's Noel Experience is a family friendly environment focused on activities for all ages including children's workshops, arts and crafts, musical performances, storytelling, face painting, Santa Clause, etc.

This experience is free and open to the public!

THE WRIGHT MUSEUM NEEDS MULTIPLE NOEL EXPERIENCE VOLUNTEERS to serve as Greeters, Exhibit Gallery Monitors and Children's Workshop Facilitators.

There will be two 3 ½ hour shifts available between 12:30pm and 7:00pm:

  1. Multiple Volunteers needed from 12:30pm until 4:00pm
  2. Multiple Volunteers needed from 3:30pm until 7:00pm

  • Must be at least 16
  • Volunteers work one 3.5 hour shift. Two shifts available: 12:30 pm - 4:00 pm or 3:30pm - 7pm.
  • Must have strong customer service and interpersonal skills, love working with kids and adults, enjoy working with groups.
