Volunteers will be in the lobby at Zellerbach Auditorium for a Shen Yun show making sure our patrons have a great time at the show! Volunteers will take tickets, pass out programs, help patrons find their seats, and assist with late seating. After the show has begun, volunteers can find an open seat in the back of the auditorium and watch the show. Volunteers will be directed by experienced house managers.

Volunteers must wear a pressed, white collared shirt, black slacks (not navy blue), and black dress shoes. Volunteers that arrive to their shift not wearing the appropriate attire may be asked to leave.

Description

Cal Performances is the largest performing arts presenter on the west coast. The organization is based on the UC Berkeley campus and operates out of multiple venues such as The Hearst Greek Theater, Hertz Hall, and Zellerbach Auditorium. Cal Performances presents a variety of performances: film and lectures, classical dance and experimental theater groups, jazz and pop music creations and esteemed symphonies and orchestras. Educational and arts programs to engage community members also make up a core part of Cal Performances' mission.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Volunteers arrive 1.5 hours before curtain time and are required to stay until the end of the intermission. This is typically a 3 hour shift.
  • We are looking for people who can learn on the job while also being patient, kind, and welcoming to all our patrons. Volunteers must wear a pressed, white collared shirt, black slacks (not navy blue), and black dress shoes.
