Multiple Volunteer Opportunities at Duval Charter at Flagler Center
Where:

When:
Fridays 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm (date dependent on volunteer)
1 visit a week, for 5 weeks Starting January 17th and ending February 14th
What:
Teach JA Ourselves to Kindergarteners
* 2 volunteers needed
Teach JA Our Families to First Graders
* 1 volunteer needed
Teach JA Our Community to Second Graders
* 1 volunteer needed
Teach JA More Than Money to Third, Fourth, or Fifth graders
* 3 volunteers needed
Teach JA Economics for Success to Middle Schoolers
* 3 volunteers needed
About Junior Achievement Programs
Junior Achievement (JA) programs are grade level specific and incorporate the areas of financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness. We have programs ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade.
No teaching experience is required to teach a JA program! Our staff will provide training and will give you a classroom kit complete with all materials needed to teach the lessons, including a guidebook.

Our volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12 th grade programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students to dream big and reach their potential.
JA's unique approach allows volunteers from the community to deliver our curriculum while sharing their experiences with students.
Through an innovative partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers, Junior Achievement helps young people connect with relevant learning and the importance of staying in school. JA students develop the skills they need to experience the realities and opportunities of work and entrepreneurship in the 21 st-century global marketplace.
Junior Achievement of North Florida is one of 115 JA Areas in the United States. JA of North Florida has been in operation since 1963 and serves youth in Duval, St. Johns, Clay and surrounding counties.
