Board Member

Job Brief

As a Board Member, you will be setting the agenda, vision and policies for the organization's future, as well as providing guidance for the Executive Director. Board Members are also expected to support the organization financially in various ways. and are encouraged to give at a level that demonstrates their personal financial capacity, leadership, and dedication to the mission of The Global Citizen Collective.

Responsibilities

  • Support and champion the mission and vision of The Global Citizen Collective
  • Make an annual personal financial contribution to The Global Citizen Collective of $100.00 or more
  • Contribute in a meaningful way to the development of outside donors
  • Attend monthly scheduled board meetings
  • Participate in special events
  • Participate in the development of policies, procedures and regulations for the organization
  • Abide by and enforce the Bylaws of The Global Citizen Collective
  • Help to ensure The Global Citizen Collective meets all legal and corporate requirements
  • Help to ensure effective fiscal controls and accountability of the organization
  • Participate in the approval of the annual budget
