Open Architecture / New York is seeking Co-Managing Directors to join our Board of Directors. The Co-Managing Directors will lead the New York chapter of Open Architecture Collaborative, develop and prioritize OACny's goals, as well as maintain an intimate knowledge of everything within the organization. This will be a shared directorship, with two (2) Co-Managing Directors. Upon selection, the responsibilities of each director will be defined based on each candidate's background and experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Day-to-day running of the organization.

• Developing plans for the future of the organization.

• Maintaining an intimate knowledge of OACny’s events, membership, budget, assets, information, communications, outreach, advocacy, and all other resources in order to best use them to increase the organization's success and profile.

• Serving as the bridge between headquarters (Open Architecture Collaborative) and the New York chapter, and communicating the chapter's progress.

• Mentoring and motivating all directors, project coordinators, volunteers, etc.

• Serving as chief creative director and upholding the quality of the final creative work of OACny’s projects.

• Maintaining OACny’s finances and keeping up with the status via the network.

Requirements:

• Must be able to commit a minimum of five (5) hours per week.

• Available via email/Slack intermittently during the week.

• Able to attend a monthly mandatory in-person meeting with the board of directors.

• OACny-held events are generally attended by all board members.

• Other project-based meetings are attended by Managing Director(s) on an as-needed basis.

• Management, project management, and/or leadership experience desired.

• Background or experience in non-profit desired.
