CASA Header

Yavapai CASA for Kids Foundation was founded by volunteers and runs mostly, with the help of volunteers. Without the help of our volunteers (both general and on the Board), we couldn’t support foster children in the capacity we do.

The YC4KF volunteer program is an evolving one. Volunteers are emailed volunteer opportunities and can sign up for events and positions as it fits with their schedule! YC4KF volunteers perform a wide variety of tasks based on availability and skills. Most of the current opportunities do no directly work with children, but directly impacts them. Some examples of volunteer opportunities throughout the year are:

  • Helping out at events, like our annual gala or Costumes for Kids 5K and Fun Run
  • Tabling at community events, such as Hope Fest, sharing our resources with people who may need it. We usually have games set up for kids to play, so volunteers can interact and play with kids
  • Cleaning the Family Visitation Center rooms, where families on track to reunification can have supervised visits
  • Content creation support, like writing blog posts, photography at events, graphic design, etc.
  • Supporting administrative needs in the office
  • Fundraising, such as soliciting donations and sponsorships from businesses around the area to support major fundraising events
  • and much more! If you have special skills or talents you'd like to use as a volunteer to help foster youth, we can create a role for you.
Volunteers receive everything they need to flourish and are honored quarterly (volunteer highlight) and annually (volunteer of the year) at an appreciation luncheon. We strive to build a community were volunteers feel connected, empowered, and supported.
