CASA of Adams and Broomfield Counties is currently running our winter fundraiser - our annual Cookie Campaign! Each year, community members are able to purchase delicious cookies online, with the proceeds helping us serve more abused and neglected children in our community.
BluePoint Bakery donates sugar cookies for this fundraiser, and our staff and volunteers frost and package the cookies. We are in need of volunteers to help package these cookies on Monday, December 9 from 8 AM-2 PM at BluePoint Bakery (1721 E 58th Avenue in Denver). You can stay for part of the day, or the entire day!
Those interested can contact Abbie Foley, Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator, at Abbie@CASA17th.com or 720-523-2858.

CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, is a volunteer-based, national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that trains and supervises community volunteers, CASAs, to represent the best interests of child victims of physical, sexual, or emotional abuse and neglect that are currently in the judicial system. CASA Volunteers are supervised by CASA team members and work alongside the child's legal and professional team. They ensure that the child's physical, mental, educational, and emotional needs are being met, and advocate for the child in court, all the while supporting them in their journey to find a safe and permanent home. Currently, there are 1,600 abused and neglected children in the welfare system in Adams and Broomfield Counties. Because of amazing volunteers like YOU, we are able to serve approximately 500 of these children. However, there are currently 1,100 children left without a CASA Volunteer to be their voice and speak up for them in court.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide court-appointed volunteer advocacy for children and youth from the child welfare system so every child can be safe, have a permanent home, and the opportunity to thrive.
Description
CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties was incorporated in 1999 and serves the 17th Judicial District of Colorado. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and part of The National CASA Association for Children, which supports a network of 950 CASA Programs in 49 states and the District of Columbia.
We recruit, train, and supervise community volunteers, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA’s), to advocate in court for children who have experienced abuse and neglect.
CASA’s partnership with the U.S. Judicial System is a unique and necessary merging of the public and private sphere, providing children with one of the most valuable resources we can give during their time in the court system - a stable, consistent adult who cares.
CASA Advocates are supervised by CASA team members and work alongside the child's legal and professional team. CASA Advocates ensure that the child's physical, mental, and emotional needs are being met, and advocate for the child in court, all so that they may have a safe and permanent home.
CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties serves 500 children each year, and is always looking for more caring volunteers to join our program and support children in need in our community.
