This is an opportunity vital in the success of our puppies to becoming a well rounded guide dog. House manners and socialization skills are given by the raisers. We meet bi-monthly as a group either in outing or on campus obedience training. No prior experience is needed as a raiser. All types of households are beneficial whether you have kids in a large family or you are retired. Living in Apartment or single family home. Your puppy will return to the program for formal training at about 15 months of age.
After seeing your work rewarded with the student that now can live a more full and independent life we can hope you are ready to do it again. The costs associated with raising medical, equipment, and food is provided by the organization.
