Goal of the Position: Help enhance the library's services by assisting staff in ensuring library materials are available for the community.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Shelving materials.
2. Sorting library materials by placing them in assigned section by call number and alphabetical order.
3. Roving library which includes ensuring items left on tables or chairs by customers are placed in the return cart.
4. Shelve reading.

Qualifications:

- Ability to learn job-related material primarily through oral instruction and observation which takes place mainly in an on-the-job setting.
- Ability to organize books/DVD's/CD's and other materials in alphabetical order.
- Ability to do repetitive tasks such as shelving materials.
- Ability to coordinate the movement of more than one limb simultaneously. Bend or stoop repeatedly or continually over time. Lift arm above shoulder level. Move objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds long distances (greater than 20 feet).
-Ability to push a cart of up to 250 libs across 70 ft of carpet area.

Training and Support Provided: A general orientation to the library and position specific training. Ongoing support from Coordinator and library staff.
