Liberty recruits various types of volunteers. Some volunteers provide direct care, which can include, but is not limited to, offering emotional support, providing respite for family members, playing music for the patient, reading to the patient, providing spiritual support, and/or encouraging and allowing pet contact. Some volunteers provide supportive care. These volunteers may provide one or more of the following: general office support, compiling and sending Bereavement mailings, running errands, yard work, assisting with memorial events, special events, or educational events, and other supportive duties as requested. Professionals such as hair dressers, barbers, masseuse can provide their services as a volunteer. We also need volunteers who would specialize in providing spiritual care, bereavement support for family members of deceased patients, and community involvement volunteers.
