Kotor Kitties is growing quickly and we need to have our bookkeeping keep up!
We purchased Quickbooks 2019 for desktops through Tech Soup, and a volunteer imported our our basic chart of accounts. A Kotor Kitties Board Member volunteered learned how to add donors, but nothing else was clarified and the ball was dropped on many fronts.
We need a bookkeeper/accountant willing to train others to accurately code and enter transactions, handle extra features we need set up, like importing donations from Facebook and PayPal, converting foreign currency, and tracking donors. And we need help to enter all of 2020 financial information.
Volunteer bookkeeper can work remotely, you just need to email the program to us when set up is complete!
Our goal is to have the system up and running by March 31, 2021.

Mission Statement
The mission of Kotor Kitties is to help the unwanted street cats of Montenegro lead healthier lives and to humanely reduce the homeless animal population, by providing free or subsidized spay and neuter surgery. Focused initially on Kotor, we have grown to serve 4 municipalities. When financially possible we provide ancillary medical care (vaccine, flea control, etc.) and recruit volunteer foster care for short term medical or developmental needs. We also coordinate with other animal welfare groups throughout MNE, to share resources, avoid duplication of services, and educate the community to show kindness and compassion to the un-housed community animals living among them. This month, for the first time, 13 other Montenegrin organizations have joined with Kotor Kitties to promote International Spay-Neuter Awareness Month.
Description
Can you imagine a modern European country with that massive population of unwanted dogs and cats, but not a single spay-neuter program? Neither could we! That's why we started Kotor Kitties in 2018. Our mission is to humanely reduce the population of stray animals and improve the health of individual animals through High-QualiryHigh-Volume Spay and Neuter services (HQHVSN), and a Trap-Neuter-Return program (TNR.)
Kotor Kitties is an all-volunteer non-profit, registered as a 501(c)(3) in the United States. We are incorporated in Washington state and receive mail in Seattle Washington. We now have a partner organization, Kotor Kitties (UK) which is a registered charity in United Kingdom, and a soon-to-be-registered organization in Montenegro, Kotorske Macke.
Kotor Kitties works hard to connect with the people of Montenegro, using community organizing strategies and techniques to unite the animal caretakers throughout the country. Our first grant, from The Pollination Project, was to create a professionally translated Montenegrin-language website: www.kotorkitties.me.

- We would appreciate a minimum commitment of 6 months, so that things are running smoothly.
- Bookkeeper-accountant familiar with Quickbooks & add-ons related to currency conversion, donors, importing donation information from PayPal and Facebook, etc. Ability to explain & demo data entry to other volunteers, pull monthly reports as needed.
