Do you like meeting new people and learning from others past experiences? Do you have a knack for making others happy and brightening their day? Do you feel called to make a difference and give back to others? If so become a Hospice Volunteer today!
Hospice Volunteers provide companionship, emotional support and socialization to members of the community who are elderly, sick and in need of support. Hospice Volunteers help to brighten a person’s day, provide life review and memory recollection with the patient and their family members, assist with light household duties, help with craft activities, play Bingo and other games, read, watch movies and tv shows, look at pictures and help to fulfill a patient’s wishes.
Becoming a Hospice Volunteer does not require a lot of your time, but it completely can make a difference in the life of the patients that we serve. Many volunteer visits are as little as 30 minutes per week or two and can go as long and yourself and the patients would like! Sometimes volunteers get to talking and visiting with the patients and hours seem like merely minutes!
If you would like more information, or would like to give your heart to others, please feel free to contact William.Russell@kindred.com or call the office at 617-332-0813. Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you!
