Skill Labor - Carpenter
Our Mission: Rebuilding Together Thurston County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free home repairs and accessibility modifications for low-income homeowners. We serve low-income homeowners who are elderly, have disabilities, families with children, and veterans in need.
How You Help: Provide your carpentry skills to aid in repairing homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives.
Benefits of Volunteering:
- Outlet to apply existing skills and knowledge, try new ideas and build up carpentry skills
- The satisfaction knowing you are helping low-income homeowners who cannot afford essential repairs and safety modifications continue to live safely in their own homes
Summary: We need help with repair and general maintenance projects for our community members in Thurston County. Our network relies on skilled trade professional volunteers to serve as leaders in our rebuilding efforts, providing materials and technical know-how with everything.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Small carpentry repairs like broken or rotted steps
Requirements
- Carpentry experience
- Applicable state licenses
*State licensure as needed, if you are not licensed and still would like to contribute your carpentry skills to helping folks in need, please reach out to learn about volunteering!
Time Commitment
10-15 hours per project, although based on project availability time may be flexible!

Rebuilding Together Thurston County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free home repairs and handicap modifications for low income homeowners and nonprofit facilities in Thurston County. We serve low income homeowners who are elderly, disabled, families with children, and veterans in need. Rebuilding Together Thurston County was founded in 2003 by the Olympia Remodeler's Council and other volunteers and is part of the Rebuilding Together national organization, with over 130 affiliates across the country.
