What: Sound Generations is partnering with local grocery stores to raise funds for and educate others about our Meals On Wheels program.

When: November 23rd through November 27th.

Shift Times

  • Saturday/Sunday 1 P.M. - 2:30 P.M. and 2:30 P.M. - 5 P.M.
  • Monday-Wednesday 2 P.M. - 4 P.M. and 4 P.M. - 6 P.M.

Where: New Seasons Market in Mercer Island

Why: Meals On Wheels allows homebound older adults to receive nutritious and low-cost meals from a friendly Meals On Wheels driver.

Mission Statement

Sound Generations, established in 1967, is Washington State's most comprehensive non-profit organization that supports people on their aging journey through community connections and accessible services. Established in 1967, we support almost 54,000 older adults, disabled persons, and those who care for them annually in King County.

Description

Our eleven programs operating throughout numerous community and senior center sites are constantly striving to expand the provision of food security, transportation, health & wellness, and assistance services to under served and marginalized populations. We are committed to helping all people, especially those in low-income communities and communities of color, obtain the services they need while feeling included and respected in a community that affirms aging.

Sound Generations service area: King County, WA.

Our services, and volunteer opportunities, are located at multiple sites throughout King County.
