JOB TITLE: Volunteer Donation Handler
REPORTS TO: ReStore Coordinator & ReStore Manager
Job Summary: Responsible for assisting donors and customers with merchandise and assists with the preparation of product for the sales floor.
Essential Functions:
- Help the ReStore maintain a safe and professional atmosphere by providing good customer service at all times.
- Assist in loading and unloading of trucks, customers’ vehicles, and donor vehicles.
- Help other employees and volunteers move merchandise to and from the sales floor in a safe and professional manner.
- Will perform other duties as requested.
- Must be able to work effectively alongside volunteers on a daily basis.
- Assists in basic tasks such as sweeping floors, cleaning bathrooms, or dusting shelves in order to maintain a safe and clean store.
Job Duties:
- All ReStore staff/volunteers must be willing to work as part of a team to help provide a safe, enjoyable shopping/donation experience for all customers.
- Use of a pallet jack.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform high quality work while being interrupted consistently throughout the day.
Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively promote a positive working environment, spirit of cooperation and positive reactions to change and conflict.
- Able to utilize warehouse equipment to move large items.
- Ability to accurately follow instructions.
- Ability to work without constant supervision.
- Ability to work with other staff members, customers, clients and volunteers.
- Possess strong organizational skills.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must pass Criminal Background Check, Sexual Offender Check and Drug Test.

- Volunteer at the ReStore. Store is open Tuesday thru Friday from 9am-6pm and on Saturdays from 10-2pm. Those interested in volunteering at the construction site can work from 9-3pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays
- Volunteering at the ReStore may involve moving heavy furniture but other opportunities exist at the store as well. Construction volunteers would be involved in all aspects of home rehabilitation.
