JOB TITLE: Volunteer Donation Handler

REPORTS TO: ReStore Coordinator & ReStore Manager

Job Summary: Responsible for assisting donors and customers with merchandise and assists with the preparation of product for the sales floor.

Essential Functions:

• Help the ReStore maintain a safe and professional atmosphere by providing good customer service at all times.
• Assist in loading and unloading of trucks, customers’ vehicles, and donor vehicles.
• Help other employees and volunteers move merchandise to and from the sales floor in a safe and professional manner.
• Will perform other duties as requested.

• Must be able to work effectively alongside volunteers on a daily basis.
• Assists in basic tasks such as sweeping floors, cleaning bathrooms, or dusting shelves in order to maintain a safe and clean store.

Job Duties:

• All ReStore staff/volunteers must be willing to work as part of a team to help provide a safe, enjoyable shopping/donation experience for all customers.
• Use of a pallet jack.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform high quality work while being interrupted consistently throughout the day.

Qualifications:

• Ability to effectively promote a positive working environment, spirit of cooperation and positive reactions to change and conflict.
• Able to utilize warehouse equipment to move large items.
• Ability to accurately follow instructions.
• Ability to work without constant supervision.
• Ability to work with other staff members, customers, clients and volunteers.
• Possess strong organizational skills.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must pass Criminal Background Check, Sexual Offender Check and Drug Test.
