Love cats? Come volunteer at Crash’s Landing and Big Sid’s Sanctuary!
We are a two shelter, no-kill, non-profit cat rescue organization that is home to around 250 of the most fabulous kitties around. Our shelters need volunteers to help with essential duties such as scooping, cleaning, feeding, etc. Of course our feline residents are only too happy to assist you with your tasks!
Crash’s Landing is the largest cat rescue in the Midwest specializing in taking friendly adult stray cats off the streets and helping them find their forever homes. We are now entering our 10 th year and have had more than 2800 success stories!
Big Sid’s Sanctuary is unique as it one of the largest shelters in the nation which caters exclusively to cats who test positive for the FIV or FeLV virus. Neither virus is something you can catch. Neither virus is something you can spread to your own pets. While the immune systems of these cats may be more fragile than their "normal" counterparts, it does not hinder them from being some of the most adorable, fun-loving and affectionate cats around!
Both shelters are 100% volunteer powered and we would love to have you join in the fun. We know that everyone’s availability is different. Whether you want to volunteer once a day, once a week or once a month, we have a shift that will work for you. Shifts typically run in 2-4 hour blocks, so if you are a morning, afternoon or evening person we can find a spot for you. Make a difference in the lives of the animals your community and lend your time to this worthwhile cause - you won’t be disappointed!
If you are interested in volunteering, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Opportunities for students and youth organizations are also available.
