One Brick creates a community of volunteers by offering fun opportunities for individuals to serve local nonprofits. We provide a calendar of volunteer and social events to help people get involved, have an impact, and have fun, without the requirements of long term commitments.
After each volunteer event our volunteer team invites everyone to gather at a local restaurant or coffee shop where they can get to know one another in a relaxed social setting. Additionally we host regular social events for our volunteers to connect to one another and to welcome new volunteers to our community.
We provide a flexible way for you to volunteer where and when you want.
We will be partnering with Housing Works for our next volunteer opportunity.
Housing Works is a healing community of people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Their mission is to end the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS through relentless advocacy, the provision of lifesaving services, and entrepreneurial businesses that sustain our efforts.
WHAT WE'LL BE DOING:Volunteers would be helping Housing Works with their internet sales department, picking and packing books that have been order from us online, as well as possibly helping us sort donations and tidy up our shelves.
HOUSING WORKS: Housing Works is New York's largest minority-controlled, community-based, nonprofit agency which provides housing, health care, advocacy, job training and vital supportive services to homeless New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS. Their mission is to reach the most vulnerable and underserved people affected by the AIDS epidemic.More opportunities with ONE BRICK

The Impact of One BrickOne Brick currently operates in eight chapters nationwide: San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Washington DC, Seattle, Silicon Valley, Boston, and National.
The One Brick model has been hugely successful! Since we started, One Brick volunteers have contributed 630,000 hours to the communities we serve.
What makes us special is that One Brick chapters are 100% volunteer-run! We have no chapter based employees... we don't even maintain offices! In fact, on a national level, One Brick has only one employee.
But we DO have a lot of dedicated volunteers who make it all happen. And we're always looking for more people like YOU to join us!
