Greet clients as they arrive at Tax Assistance Site. Work with clients to ensure that they brought all necessary information to site including W-2, 1099, Social Security information, etc. Explain the assistance process. Assure clients who might be nervous about the assistance process, the wait time, or have questions.
Coordinate the site operation including site set up; work with Volunteer Tax Preparers to guide clients to the proper person. Monitor and keep track of Site activity for reporting purposes.
Volunteers will NOT have to work directly with clients if they don't feel up to it.
This position can lead to FREE tax law and software training to become IRS certified and serve as a Volunteer Tax Preparer. This program helps boost the income of Low-Income Families and Senior Citizens with tax credits and refunds, and bring money back into the community.
