If you feel that history is worthy of being preserved, enjoy seeing buildings, crafts and a way of life from days gone by being passed on from generation to generation this is the spot for you. A docent (the word being derived from the Latin word ducere, meaning to lead) is the term has been expanded to designate the corps of volunteer guides who staff many of the museums and other educational institutions in the world.
Our docents serve as guides to our many guests and are the backbone of many programs offered at the Tuckerton Seaport. Help us preserve and share the various aspects of Jersey’s maritime heritage with children, adults, school groups and visitors. Come join the crew and share your talents!!
