ORGANIZATION: Global Green USA

  • 3 people are interested

Global Green is the US affiliate of Green Cross International. There are 20+ Green Cross chapters internationally, including in Burkina Faso, Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire in West Africa.

We're currently assessing how we can leverage our NYC location and volunteers to support carbon offset projects in West Africa. Volunteers can support the organization and project in the following ways:

1) Research regarding potential carbon offset models for clean cookstoves, tree planting and other projects.

2) Identification of board rooms or small (workshop) size rooms where stakeholders can convene for a small meeting

3) Identification of partners that can provide support in the form of a) project financing and/or b) purchasing of carbon offsets.

We're seeking volunteer support from experienced professionals in the fields of finance, consulting and/or international development. Given organizational priorities and travel schedules, please let us know if you have immediate availability to support the organization with an event and/or research this month (November 2019).
