Many older adults become isolated over time from family, friends and broader communities. Caring Visitors provide companionship and emotional support and are a proven way to help those who are homebound or just lonely. Caring Visitors are trained and matched and commit to a weekly visit at the senior's home. The program is a partnership between the Jewish Federation of Santa Barbara and the Pacific Pride Foundation but neither clients nor volunteers need be Jewish or a member of the LGBT community -- the program is open to all.
