About Rebuilding Together of Greater Charlotte
330 Camp Rd, CHARLOTTE, NC 28206, US
Together, we transform the lives of low income homeowners by improving the safety and health of their homes and revitalizing their communities.
Rebuilding Together is the nation’s leading nonprofit working to preserve affordable home ownership and revitalize communities. In Charlotte, Rebuilding Together mobilizes community volunteers and contractors to provide repairs that make homes safer, healthier, more accessible and more energy efficient for elderly, low-income, disabled and veteran homeowners. To increase the impact of our work, we are targeting the Camp Greene neighborhood for all home repair projects during the 2017-18 seasons.
Since our inception in 2010, we have completed more than 110 housing projects throughout our community, with an economic benefit of more than $1.5 million to the greater Charlotte region. Several factors uniquely position Rebuilding Together of Greater Charlotte to make a meaningful difference in our community and our targeted neighborhood, Camp Greene. These factors include our focus on at-risk homeowners, scientifically-validated home repairs and strong community revitalization partnerships.
Rebuilding Together of Greater Charlotte’s model prioritizes critical repairs that correct twenty-five scientifically proven health and safety hazards that are common in older homes, including falls, fires, moisture and mold, asthma and allergies and toxic exposures such as carbon monoxide. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, we have unmatched cost effectiveness in making our community’s housing safer and healthier.
