Saving Promise, a national intimate partner violence prevention organization inspired by a little girl named Promise, has launched an exciting and innovative public awareness campaign, Friends of Promise, to mobilize and engage the grassroots community in a call to action to prevent domestic violence.

We are looking for a Fundraising Assistant to be part of a counsel to advance the organization’s mission and execute the Friends of Promise campaign by fulfilling the following roles:


  • Work alongside Fundraising Ambassador to set and execute fundraising goals.
  • Assist the Fundraising Ambassador in developing fundraising plans to generate donations from various sources.
  • Research and secure sponsors to co-create fundraising events and propel the Friends of Promise initiative.
  • Carry out administrative and organizational as needed to keep the program running smoothly.

The mission of Saving Promise is to launch a multi-year, multi-disciplinary, evidence-based research and development Learning Lab to prevent intimate partner violence.

Description

Saving Promise is a national advocacy organization dedicated to intimate partner violence prevention. It was founded when L.Y. Marlow discovered that her daughter was trapped in an abusive relationship that also threatened her granddaughter, a little girl named Promise. Her story is about five generations of mothers and daughters who survived more than sixty years of intimate partner violence. She founded Saving Promise with the vision of doing just that-saving Promise, which blossomed into a vision for the nation.
