Jumpstart’s Extended Day program is currently looking for new volunteers for the 2019-2020 school year! This program is a unique solution to the critical need for after-school child-care for working families. Our program provides essential programming through consistent, caring college student volunteers who engage the preschoolers in small group reading and learning extension activities to optimize the students’ vocabulary, comprehension and social-emotional development before entering kindergarten.

The time requirement for the position is Monday - Thursday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. The position runs for the full 2019-2020 school year. Members receive a bi-weekly stipend, as well as monthly unlimited metro cards for travel. We require that you are able to work all four afternoons.

If you are interested in being a part of the program this year please apply here: https://application.jstart.org/ , and select Extended Day NYC. Please do not forget to attach your resume.

The two site locations for this school year will be:
