YWCA Clark County’s mission is to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

The SafeChoice Domestic Violence shelter provides a safe, supportive environment that is inclusive of survivors of all genders. While at the shelter, adults have access to advocacy, legal advocacy, information and referrals to community resources, and support in independent living skills. Volunteer Advocates answer the hotline, provide advocacy to shelter participants, perform clerical work around the office, assist with donations, and provide general facilities support. Twenty hours of pre-service training on topics related to domestic violence is provided. 20 hours of pre-service training on topics related to domestic violence are provided.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program supports over 100 non-profits and organizations in Clark County, Washington by interviewing, screening, and referring volunteers ages 55 and up.

***IMPORTANT NOTE: The RSVP program will be closing its doors March 31, 2020.
