SOS of Kansas is currently looking for volunteers to mentor clients in our Domestic Violence Shelter. Volunteers are utilized to transport clients to appointments, create a calming environment in which to build trust with children residing in the shelter, assist with shelter leisure activities, help prepare meals and miscellaneous day to day duties needed around the shelter.
Volunteers are also needed to assist in our children's support group, as well as, outreach services.

SOS has four programs that offer a variety of victim services with a focus on safety.
* Crisis Services
-Providing crisis intervention, advocacy, information and referrals and more to victims of sexual and domestic violence.
-Emergency Shelter
-Prevention Education
-Free and confidential services
* SOS Child Advocacy Center
-Providing safe visitations and monitored exchanges for families
-Court or Self-referrals accepted
-Sliding scale fees
* SOS CASA of Flint Hills
-Court Appointed Special Advocate program composed of volunteers working with children in the 5th Judicial District Court system(Lyon and Chase Counties)
* SOS Child Advocacy Center
-Serves children who have been abused or neglected
-Child-focused setting for investigative interviews, multidisciplinary investigations and case management
-Family advocacy
-Professional mandated reporting education
