A-KEEP is looking for an intern with classroom training in research methods and information gathering. Intern should understand social problem and be familiar with Alabama's culture and its relationship to South Korea. Must have an interest in helping other and research.

Requirements:

  • College Junior or Sophomore with experience in statistics and research in social sciences.
  • Statistics- knowledge of Correlation Analysis ANOVA, and/or knowledge of confidence intervals and levels.
  • Research in Social Science- prefer global studies, Alabama history, and communications.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Responsibilities
  • Summarize various studies for grant usage
  • Proofread grants
  • Attend meetings with Grant Writer regarding potential partnerships
  • Learn how to write grants

Alabama Korea Education and Economic Partnership (AKEEP) has a primary mission to provide multilingual multicultural diversity education programs to the students and professionals of Alabama and Korea. The secondary mission is bridging the differences between institutions and corporations of Alabama and Korea for local economic prosperity as a global partnership facilitator.

Description

Volunteers will contribute to the mission of AKEEP by:

  1. assisting our organization with public relations & community outreach both in-person and online social media platforms
  2. coordinating events designed for K-12 schools in the Montgomery area students, families, and other community non-profits and associations
  3. research grants and fundraising opportunities for AKEEP’s programs and services
  4. building and/or maintaining an internal database for students, contacts, stakeholders, partners, and sponsors of activities.
