In this position you will assist staff with socialization with identified residents who may not have family or other visitors in the area and help staff with activities such as bingo, movies, and card games in the victory dining room. You must have a pleasant personality, excellent social skills, and enjoy working with the frail and elderly population.

For this position you must be the minimum age of 18 years old. Training and orientation are part of the process, but it is to be known that the VA Medical Center has a tiered intake system and intake may take 6 weeks. Time commitment is when you are needed.

The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program supports over 100 non-profits and organizations in Clark County, Washington by interviewing, screening, and referring volunteers ages 55 and up.
