Smith Tower Apartments offer Affordable Quality Senior Living to seniors 62 years and older. Our retirement community on 6th and Washington Street graces the downtown Vancouver, Washington skyline. Our community offers 170 studio and one bedroom apartments to seniors. Our ideal urban location gives residents the opportunity to easily utilize the nearby surrounding resources. The building’s unique circular architectural design presents spectacular views of the Columbia River, city lights, snow capped mountains, and the forest carpeted foothills of the Cascades.
As we age, we have more needs. Sometimes we can't see as well or we don't hear as well and we need help with the paperwork. Support is needed to help clients sign up for Medicaid or food stamps, fill out paperwork for hearing aids or glasses, or to fill out forms for financial aid from expensive hospital stays. Volunteers may choose to visit isolated and struggling individuals. There are many possibilities to help support seniors aging out of their own home.
Flexible schedules are available to fit volunteer's schedules. Minimum age is 18.
Training is provided by Social Worker.
