Cadence Hospice is looking for volunteers who have care and concerns for others. We are looking for volunteers who would like to visit with patients to provide socialization, companionship, friendly compassionate visits and so much. We provide hospice services to adults who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness and a prognosis of 6 months or less to live should the disease take its natural course.
Our hospice engages community outreach and collaboration. As a volunteer with Cadence Hospice, you would also be invited to participate in our community outreach and collaboration events.
If you are creative, enjoy planning, and/or want to make an impact in your community, we are the team for you. You will work in collaboration for events like:
- Halloween pumpkin painting
- Veteran's ceremonial pinning
- Christmas wobbly-walkers
- Cadence Book Drive
- Flower Drive
- Community arts and crafts to enhance meaningful activities with older adults
- Open to collaborating/ideas you may have that can benefit the community we serve

We are actively recruiting for volunteers at this time. The COVID-19 outbreak has prevented us from making visits to patients but we have slowly seen some forward movement towards of resuming visits. We are taking the time to recruit more volunteers so that once we can return to normal life, we can incorporate new projects, services, etc. We are dedicated to utilizing the unique skills and generous time of our volunteers. Your unique skills and time can contribute to improving the quality of life for our patients.

Hospice care is about living! When a patient is diagnosed with a life limiting illness, the patient and family may become overwhelmed with planning, emotions, questions, and fear. The Traditions Health hospice team provides support and guidance to patients and their families to address each of these needs throughout their end of life journey. We walk with the patient and their loved ones each step of the way, providing the education and care they need to have the best quality of life possible.
Our team is passionate about building relationships with our patients and their loved ones so that we know what matters most to them. Whether the need is physical, spiritual or emotional, our compassionate hospice experts are available to provide the necessary support. Comfort and dignity are the anchors of hospice care. Our clinicians are highly skilled at recognizing and managing symptoms early, in most cases allowing the patient to remain comfortable at home throughout the end of their life.
