The Front Emergency Department Volunteer role requires a high level of maturity, ability to work in a variety of situations, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a team environment with a variety of distractions. The role is patient and visitor driven. Approach and greet people at the door of the ED, welcome visitors to the ED, taking visitors back to see patients in rooms, empathize with people in the lobby - be sensitive to their needs, and SO much more!
The commitment to this position is at least 8 months (as are all Salem Health volunteer positions), for 1 time a week for a 4 hour shift.   • Driver's License Needed
  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Once a week for a 4 hour shift, for a minimum of 8 months.
  • Apply online, attend an information session and interview, once accepted you would attend an orientation to the hospital, complete paperwork (including a background check & TB screening), once all is completed we would train you for the role.
