Volunteers make hospital rounds with a cart stocked with magazines, books, crossword puzzles, coloring pages/crayons, snacks, and more.
This fun volunteer role is an excellent way to meet people and stay active.
Volunteers add extra warmth that is appreciated by our patients, their families and our staff. They are exceptional people who take the extra steps to make a difference in other people’s lives.

Description

Norton Hospital is focused on specialty surgical services, advanced diagnostics, oncology, orthopaedics and maternal-fetal medicine. The hospital has served as a teaching facility for the University of Louisville School of Medicine for over 50 years.

The impact of our volunteers is felt throughout our hospitals in the lives they touch every day.
Volunteers add extra warmth that is appreciated by our patients, their families and our staff. They are exceptional people who take the extra steps to make a difference in other people’s lives. Volunteering is a great learning experience and an excellent way to meet people and make new friends.
You do not need any special skills to be a volunteer. We will provide the training you need. Opportunities are available in patient and nonpatient areas.
