Church Van Driver

Volunteer(s) needed to drive our 15-passenger church van. A CDL is NOT required. A van driver is needed on Sundays only. We use the van to pick up children for Kid's Church at 11am Sunday mornings. We leave for picking up kids at 10am and then take them home at 12:30pm. So total time is approximately from 10am to 1:30pm on a given Sunday.
Van drivers are NOT needed every Sunday. We are also flexible as to how many Sundays you drive. We are open to volunteers driving 1, 2, or 3 Sundays a month.
We will perform a background check on all volunteers that work with our children.
Also, since we will be adding you to our van insurance policy, we will also perform a check on your driving record.
If a couple would like to volunteer to drive the van together, that is also fine.

Description
PRINCE OF PEACE OVERVIEWPrince of Peace serves the homeless and working poor in downtown Cincinnati and Over-the-Rhine neighborhood. We are a cold shelter in the winter months allowing the homeless to sleep in our church. We serve several meals to the homeless each week including breakfasts on Sunday and Tuesday, a Wed. evening meal, lunch three days a week, and a lunch for Kid's Church on Sundays. The Bridge Ministry, which serves the homeless occurs on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 10am to 2pm. and offers a Bible Study with a free lunch all three days. We also have a devotion service Wednesday nights with a free community meal on Wednesday evening. We have an Adult Literacy Class, a Kid's Church, a Kid's Tutoring program, and a mentoring program for those that would like to transform their lives.
