We are looking for a fun, committed volunteer to help out with our Connections Program. Connections is a brain fitness program for adults and seniors. The group meets weekly from 10am-2pm on Mondays and Wednesdays in Montecito and on Mondays and Thursdays in Goleta from 9:30-1:30. We are looking for volunteers to commit to one or more days at either site.
The Connections Program is a great opportunity for aging adults and seniors to stay mentally and physically fit whilst socializing and having fun with their peers. We work collaboratively on brain fitness puzzles and games, math problems and also discuss current events with regular guest speakers.
A volunteer will help greet members in the morning, assist with program facilitation, work closely with members needing extra support, help with serving lunch and assist members on their way out.

Description
Friendship Center is a non-profit adult day services center providing socialization and lively activities to elder and dependent adults and respite, support and education to their families. We help families to keep their elder and dependent adult loved ones at home for as long as possible, avoiding costly long-term residential and in-home care.
We have a contract with Veterans Administration which will cover the cost of daily services for qualified veterans.
