Our Workforce Development team is looking for individuals to assist our adult students with Adult Basic Education and GED prep-work. Volunteers are needed to sit with either an individual or small group to work through simple reading exercises and basic math; times tables to work problems.
- Reading takes place on Tuesdays from 10:00am-12:00pm and 12:30-2:30pm
- Math takes place on Thursdays from 10:00am-12:00pm and 12:30-2:30pm
Sessions will take place at our POWER House Community Center (316 S. Caroline St).

The Foundation uses maritime settings, community revitalization projects and other challenging learning environments, and a low staff to student ratio. Our "learning by doing" education programs emphasize the applied learning of math, science, literacy, history, economics, and ecology. Key objectives of all Living Classrooms programs are career development, community service, elevating self-esteem, and fostering multicultural exchange.
