STUDENTS: For those of you pursuing professions in the medical, pastoral, or social work fields, serving as a hospice volunteer is a great way to accrue your necessary project/curriculum-required hours in order to complete your degree. Description
Compassus Hospice offers peace and comfort to patients and their families by reducing the stress, pain and other symptoms of a serious illness. Hospice is not just for the final days of life. it's about helping patients and their families live as well as they can when life expectancy is limited.
Volunteers are instrumental in supporting our hospice efforts in Memphis and the surrounding areas and also in Southaven and surrounding areas. As a Compassus Hospice volunteer, you have the loving opportunity to touch and enhance the lives of our patients and families.
Our volunteer opportunities are limitless and range from volunteering behind the scenes in the hospice office to volunteering in outreach or community events and by providing face-to-face non-clinical services to patients and families.
