The Broomfield Children’s Library is looking for warm and caring volunteers with trained therapy dogs that love children and work well with other animals for our Afternoon Reading Fun! (ARF!), read to a dog program for school age children. ARF! takes place weekly for children in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. ARF! is an ongoing program that relies on committed volunteers to come each month for scheduled dates.

Volunteer dogs must be certified through a national organization that carries insurance for volunteers to work in public spaces, such as libraries and hospitals. To find out more about the ARF!, visit the Children’s Library website www.broomfieldchildrenslibrary.org and select the "5-12 years" tab. If you are interested in interviewing for a volunteer position, please contact Kirsten at kwallen@broomfield.org.
