Mission Statement
Allison Woods Outdoor Learning Center strives to ignite curiosity, understanding, and respect for nature through education at our Classroom in the Forest.
Description
Allison Woods Outdoor Learning Center is an instructive facility that uses both land and water as an outdoor classroom. Immediately accessible are several lakes, streams, a large forest area, trails, and the wondrous variety of both plant of animal life that makes teaching and learning in an outdoor facility exciting and fun! Since opening our doors in 1992. We also use our Raptor and Turtle Dog Animal Ambassadors to help teach students and adults that attend our programs.
Allison Woods Outdoor Learning Center has served students from Iredell and surrounding counties through field trip programs, summer camps, Boy Scout programs and camporees, Girl Scout Programs, 4-H Club, community outreach, and more.
