Appointment Scheduler for free tax service
Pio Decimo Center
This position provides basic support to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. In this position, you will be asked to:
- Schedule appointments for Low-Income clients and Senior Citizens wanting free income tax service
- Receive phone inquiries re. (VITA) site locations and times
- Inform clients of necessary information they will need for their appointment, including W-2, 1099, Social Security information, etc.
- Assure clients who might be nervous about the assistance process, the wait time, or who have general questions
- Volunteers will NOT have to work directly with clients if they don't feel up to it.
This program helps low-income clients access the tax credits and refunds they are entitled to. It also brings money back into the community. leading to local economic growth.
