Do you enjoy interacting and serving people? Would you like to help people get connected to critical resources? We need volunteers to help us at the Harvest Hope Help Desk!

Harvest Hope food bank has an emergency food pantry that serves an average of 200 people daily. We provide about a week's worth of groceries to people in need, regardless of where they live or what income they have.

The clients that visit our emergency food pantry may have additional needs that go beyond our resources - additional needs that may be preventing clients from affording groceries and building self-sufficiency. Harvest Hope Greenville Emergency Food Pantry is piloting a Help Desk program that will provide additional social service support to clients.

Help Desk support is offered on a case by case basis as we continue to learn our clients’ needs and our available community resources to meet those needs. The Help Desk volunteers will assist clients with supplemental information and in-depth support on target areas: food resources, government and social service programs, utility support, and safe/affordable housing. Additionally, Help Desk volunteers will help inform intake volunteers on seasonal resources such as: back to school events, Christmas gift programs, voter registration, community and job fairs, etc.
